BREAKING: Kyle Walker Agrees Shock Move to Premier League club as Manchester City Prepare for Major Summer Shake-Up

Kyle Walker is set to leave Manchester City and join Everton after being told he is no longer part of Pep Guardiola’s plans, according to The Sun. The 35-year-old right-back has agreed to a one-year deal with Everton, as he looks to continue playing regularly and keep his England dreams alive.

Walker has been one of the best defenders in the Premier League for the past 10 years. Since joining City from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017 for £50 million, he has won six Premier League titles and even helped the team win their first-ever Champions League in 2023.

However, things changed last season. After a poor start to the campaign, City sent Walker on loan to AC Milan. The Italian club thought about signing him permanently but have now decided not to continue with him.

This gave Everton a chance, and they quickly moved to sign the experienced defender. Fulham were also interested, but Everton are now close to finishing the deal. Talks are ongoing between Everton and Manchester City about whether the move will be a full transfer or just a one-year loan.

Walker made over 300 appearances for Manchester City and has been one of the first-choice defenders for England for nearly a decade. He has played 96 times for the national team and was part of the squad at both Euro 2020 and Euro 2024.

Walker still hopes to reach 100 caps and wants to play in the 2026 World Cup in the United States. He believes that playing regularly under Everton manager David Moyes will help him stay in the England squad.

Everton struggled last season and were close to relegation under Sean Dyche, but things improved after Moyes returned as manager. The team finished 13th in the Premier League, and Moyes is now trying to add experienced players like Walker to strengthen the squad.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are preparing to let more players leave this summer. Jack Grealish is also likely to leave after not getting much playing time last season. He was even left out of the squad for the Club World Cup and could return to Aston Villa or join Tottenham.

Former Premier League goalkeeper Shay Given believes Grealish is still a top player and can play for any team in the league.

“I think Jack has been a generational talent, I really do,” Given told Metro. “He can play for every single team in the country. He’s only 29 and still has three or four great years ahead of him.”

He added:

“He just needs a run of games to show how good he is, especially in a central position and not out wide.”
