The young forward scored Palmeiras’ only goal of the night in the 53rd minute, drawing them level after Cole Palmer’s first-half opener for Chelsea. But an own goal by Agustin Giay sealed a 2-1 win for the Premier League side.
Reflecting on the result, Estevao said: “I’m very happy I could score a goal to help my club. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the result we wanted, but we gave our best on the pitch and now I am moving on and I thank Palmeiras for everything.”
